A jeep track climbs from Nomal into a valley of pine forest and three lakes that run from green to blue depending on the light and the season. Almost nobody who visits Hunza bothers to turn off for it, which is exactly the appeal.
In winter the air force runs a small ski lift here — the only one in the country.
